Soldier Reunited With Missing Dog

December 01, 2016 at 10:55PM by
>br> A video that tugs at the heartstrings shows the sweet reunion between U.S. Army Sgt. Dahlberg and her lost dog, Ginger. Ginger ran away several weeks ago, and Dahlberg and her daughter had searched all over for her. Finally, the soldier spotted Ginger on the website for the Front Street Animal Shelter in Sacramento. Ginger contracted parvovirus when she was out on the streets, but has been treated for it and is expected to make a full recovery. When Dahlberg arrived to pick Ginger up this week, the relieved dog buried her head in her owner’s chest and whined. Dahlberg gently picked Ginger up and pet her reassuringly before bringing her out to see her daughter and loading her in the car to go home to recover from her ordeal. — Watch it at Sacramento’s KCRA
