Firefighters Use Oxygen Mask to Revive Cat

February 08, 2017 at 10:21PM by
>br> Firefighters in the Netherlands rescued an unconscious tabby cat from a burning apartment building. They immediately wrapped one of the firefighter’s oxygen masks around his face and started giving him chest compressions. Finally, Sammy gave a meow and started breathing again on his own. Stan Loemers, Sammy’s owner, lost everything in the blaze but was ecstatic his cat’s life was saved. “Even if my house may have burned down three times, this animal means the world to me,” he said. Sammy was treated at an animal hospital and released a few days after the fire. The incident took place last year but video footage from body cameras worn by the firefighters was only recently released. — Read it at People Pets
